Ratchet & Clank is a 2002 3D platform video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2. Ratchet & Clank is the first game in the Ratchet & Clank series and precedes Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando.

The game follows the anthropomorphic character Ratchet meeting the robot Clank on his home planet. Clank discovers that the villainous Chairman Drek of the Blarg race plans to create a new planet for his species, destroying other planets in the process. Clank convinces Ratchet to help him in his mission to gain the help of the famous superhero Captain Qwark.

The game offers a wide range of weapons and gadgets that the player must use to defeat numerous enemies and solve puzzles on a variety of different planets in the fictional "Solana" galaxy. The game also includes several mini-games, such as racing or hacking, which the player must complete to proceed. The game was positively received by critics, who praised the graphics and variety of gameplay, along with the comic and humorous style to the sci-fi story. I didn't know this was gonna be a spherical planet. That's one of the reasons why I love A Crack in Time, because of the moons in each sector. I'm pretty sure the 2nd or 3rd game has a moon with a really good soundtrack.

The sandsharks are legendary, and confirmed to be in the remake too. I kept whispering that the last one was under the ship, hoping you'd find it lol. They squished the vendor guy in the HD version, wtf?!

You should definitely consider playing Croc for one of your next lets plays. I think it would be amusing to watch the platforming fails :P

I really wish the PS4 game will have a soundtrack similar to Ratchet and Clank 3, because it was dramatic and intense, while still fitting the futuristic setting the original trilogy had, I don't at all dislike the music in the future games, but it isn't even close to the unique style this game had. Nonetheless, another great part of this awesome game.

1. I find it funny how you don't at all mention about the fact they fucked up the aspect ratio on the vendor guy and that he looks squished to shit in this version, plus he is just a torso with no legs too.
2. I agree with some people that you really do miss alot of bolts. I mean, i understand, you don't want to fuck around all day getting 5 bolts and such, but still...
3. I almost broke my wrist pointing down harder and harder when you were looking for the remaining sand shark. You saw it before. And you can hear them. I don't know how you missed it.
