Thanx Marty. I am a 62 year old who has been trying to learn to play the guitar on my own since I was in my late teens. I always got frustrated and put the guitar down for months/years before picking it up and "tinkering" again, only to end up back at discouragement. This past year, I picked it back up after a decade of ignoring it, and after getting into some old Eagles music recently, decided to try to strum a few chords of a couple of their songs. This time however, I decided to give YouTube a try to see if there was anything posted there to help me out. I ran across your instructional clip of Take It Easy ! I was able to play that song from start to finish in a couple of days after watching you break it down, and I have been hooked on continuing to learn to play. For the first time in my life, I am able to sit down and play the guitar and enjoy just picking and strumming songs casually. .. Simply what I've wanted to do from the time I first picked up a guitar. Watching you break a song down from a beginners standpoint, has not only helped me to learn the songs that you do here, but I've been able to pick up some simple songs from other video clips and play them as well. ... HOWEVER, when I want to try to learn something new, I always check to see if you have it posted first. I like the way to take it in short and easy steps and finish with the complete song. Thanks to you and your time of putting these out there, I have been able to play some of my favorite songs from the 60s, 70s and even into the 90s and feel a sense of satisfaction after playing the guitar now. Thanx Marty. Please keep posting new stuff. You have helped a long time frustrated old dude finally start to learn to enjoy playing the guitar.
