There looking at these gravity wave tensers in the cmb. Worth making a video about.

Hi Dr, i have a question, why the big bang could not be perpetual instead of an onetime event?

I believe in inflation every time I fill my car with petrol.

Yes fantastic but where did the matter that came together come from?

Fascinating as usual, can’t wait for more!

As Mr. Spock would say, "Fascinating!" I've seen other videos mention the bubble universe theory, that ours is just one of many universes. I know you're a Doctor Who fan. E-space comes to mind!

Thankyou very much for explaining it so easy and compact, that even I can understand it!

thanks... well done i learned a lot! i was wondering if science has figured out what a quark is? The charge is not what i mean nor weight... i kinda want to know if its a force, matter or something else... thanks... cant find this answer anywhere... again wonderful video!

I loved this video dr Maggie!!! Your background was pretty kewl as well

Why did it bang?
How long was the singularity around for before the bang?
Was there space before the bang?
Was there a before before the bang?
Was there time?

Great video, a lot of stuff I had not heard of even though I watch loads of Astro channels, eg. the Inflaton Field. What do you think of the theory that, after maybe trillions of years when everything in the universe has burnt out and just gas and dust is left, that it all collapses back down to a point, there's another big bang, and the process starts again...?

Erm .. hi Dr Maggie.. congratulations on being perfect 👌

4:23 - Well, when you mention positrons, you should also mention the antimatter counterpart of all the other particles that you have mentioned. And btw, you forgot the dark matter (whatever it is, it was present right from the beginning).

Fascinating indeed! But please tell me where Neutrons, Protons, Electrons, Positrons, Photons, and Neutrinos came from... oh yes... the "infinitely tiny point in space"!! But where did that come from?

I am reading Brian Green's Fabric of the Cosmos. He implies that Inflation answers questions that Big Bang does not. He was making good sense to me regarding Unification and especially in how the Higg's Ocean imparted mass. Is his publication too old? Is there something more update to study? What is your recommendation for the novice trying to get a handle on this?

The Universe is mind blowing. All that matter and energy has ultimately coalesced into our existence, which means at some point that matter combined in a certain way to create consciousness.

Question:

If we are a byproduct of the Universe, given that we are conscious beings, could it be said then that by extension, the Universe itself is conscious?

While I accept the observational truths that our universe is expanding, I disagree with the multiverse hypothesis. This notion emerges from a related theory that might also be wrong, so I don’t put a lot of faith in the idea.

The premise that all the energy and matter in the universe today was packed inside a tiny volume is absurd. Think about this, when energy is added to a proton it releases a photon when it no longer is able to contain the energy. This is noted with the photoelectric effect. That is evidence that the proton cannot be forced to contain more energy than what it is able to do. All the matter in the universe is made up of protons. Thus it would be impossible to pack all the matter and energy the universe contains today into a small area because protons are limited to how much energy they can contain.

Then if you take the accelerated expansion of space occurring between galaxies, which is an extremely small acceleration then in a thought experiment traveled backwards in time to the beginning, reported to be 13.8 billion years the galaxies don't merge upon a single location. Instead the galaxies are separated by over a million light years. If a big bang happened and I'm inclined to disagree, the universe would have to be over 209 trillion years old in order for the accelerated expansion of space to force galaxies apart by just one megaparsec. That's taking the accelerated expansion of space occurring between galaxies today. Because the expansion of space is accelerating over time then it means in the beginning space was expanding much much slower than it is today. That's why it would take over 209 trillion years for the current accelerated expansion of space to force galaxies apart by just one megaparsec. Actual measurements do not indicate a big bang happened 13.8 billion years ago. If we go by the actual measurements then the big bang had to of happened nearly 210 trillion years ago.

This produce a paradox because the oldest stars in the Milky Way are only 13.7 billion years old. So how can a big bang have happened nearly 210 trillion years ago and the Milky Way is so young? The idea of a big bang happening 13.8 billion years ago cannot be verified using actual measurements of motion.

The laws of thermodynamics even does not support the rhetoric of a big bang. @ 0:40 seconds into the video you claim the universe began to expand and cool. According to the laws of thermodynamics, adding energy to the system causes expansion and when the system cools off it contracts. So if the universe were cooling off then space would be contracting. The observations of expanding space indicates space is heating up over time, not cooling off. Why do you think the expansion of space is pinned on dark energy? Because it takes an infinite amount of energy (thermal) to cause space to expand up to the speed of light and an infinite times and infinite amount of energy to cause galaxies to move away from us in every direction faster than the speed of light. The observations don't indicate cosmic inflation. they indicate energy, and lots of energy are being added to the static universe causing space to expand beyond our meager comprehension.

Because the expansion of space is accelerating today indicates in the thought experiment above, if we were to reverse time then the closer we got to the time of the big bang the expansion of space would decelerate, indicating rapid cosmic inflation never of happened. All the evidence indicates a big bang and cosmic inflation never happened. Besides, if cosmic inflation happened then what caused this expansion to slow down to less than the speed of light locally? According to the laws of motion, once a body is in motion it remains in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. There is no evidence that cosmic inflation ever happened, only the assumption it happened by observing the vast distances that galaxies are located away from us.

All matter radiates the cold microwave radiation. The oxygen, nitrogen, and water vapor in the Earth's atmosphere, the protons suspended in the vacuum of space, all matter radiates the cold microwave signal. That's why they wanted to get away from the Earth's atmosphere because it was producing the interference signal. But the same signal would occur to the cold hydrogen atoms floating everywhere in space. and that's why there is a polarized signal coming from the CMB. Indicating the signal is coming from the cold hydrogen gas located within our galaxy. The polarized signal changes as the Earth orbits around the sun.

All matter in an infinitesimally small space is not explained by science. You need that "miracle" to make the science work. Interesting. How does consciousness fit into your physical point of view? Or do you ignore it?
