Some really good ideas for younger children. When my children were young I always had spring outfits as part of the Easter basket, always an activity ( chalk, coloring books, stuffed animal, book, or bubbles), some candy. Tradition from my childhood is a Cadbury egg which I always put in my kids baskets. My kids had two different hunts: one with the candy and a few eggs with money and the other was a series of clues that led to a small prize. ( This is a tradition from my grandmother that I kept)

We usually get our grand kid's their swim suits in their easter baskets as well. But this year they didn't need new ones, so they requested umbrellas LOL So I got the three oldest (my oldest will be 5 on Easter, the her siblings are 3, almost 4, just turned 2 and 5 months) cute clear dome umbrellas with unicorns for the girls and construction vehicles for the grand son. Oh and my new favorite Easter treat are kit kat bunnies.

So fun! Our bunny leaves the candy in the baskets and our hidden eggs are hard boiled. Kinda risky of that bunny, but so far no stinky forgotten eggs. 🤞Our kids also receive swimsuits/water shoes and this year the refillable water balloons. Love the Reeces eggs! ✝️

I don’t have any kiddos but I love all your ideas! It’s quality not quantity for me. Plus I love that it’s not a lot of candy and sweets! I remember being a kid and we either ate it all up quickly or lost it all and we were finding it melting and stuck oozing out the wrapper later 🤦🏻‍♀️

When I went away to college I got OBSESSED with cereal!! It was the only thing I REALLY couldn't find on campus. The cereal was always stale and they always put the milks in the wrong label!!

I literally would eat a normal size box in a day!!

During holidays, they always had special cereals. Come on year they had Winnie the Pooh cereal and she bought me a big box a bag of starburst jelly beans and there was a movie I was wanting!

My mom was like that's what your sister wanted!! 😂

My mom died 10 years ago. Her name was Patti and she loved peppermint Patti from Charli Brown. And that became her favorite candy and we always said the old commercial from the 80s.

Now every holiday I get the peppermint Patties!
