Reviewing and Showcasing the New Perks in Critical Tower Defense (UPDATED v0.6 PART 1)

Just gonna drop my thoughts on all the new/reworked perks here for people who can't wait for part 2. Long comment inc~
tldr: ritual overpowered, lightning bad, rest mid
Details below:
Bad perks:

Accursed lightning: garbage. Just bad mathematically speaking. Even for damage its worse because the towers speed enemies and have less opportunity to hit.

Ok perks:

Kandezzi rework: The buff is not as good as it used to be, but it's much easier to activate because you can now use 6 towers outside of solo. Discounting only by 20 on 4 towers, 3 of which probably cheap isn't worth much. Useful in events/ops/tbo.

Deathwisp rework: Can be okay to early defend for teammates or in events/ops/tbo where you only plan to use a few tower types anyway. It's still mostly bad outside of the events/ops/tbo. Giving up all your towers is generally very bad though. Useless in mid/late because Overload is difficult to stack up and the dps is unremarkable even at 50+ overload.

Ex overload: Useful when using deathwisps, but deathwisps is situational to begin with and it only has minor benefits.


Stormcast: The cooldown is long so the dps isn't very good even at high overload, critting, and accursed, but having shock on demand is nice. Downsides are very minor so if you have nothing better to use go ahead.


Solarium: Very easy to activate and consistently proves valuable in endgame, but only by a small margin. Note that selling a dead phantom only leaves a dead clone.

Good perks:

Blood ritual: Very OP. 45% damage buff in a huge area for only 1k, you can stop it whenever you need so the towers don't die. Plus you can use to grief people :)

the ex-overload perk could be useful with warlorlock: deathwisps

they buff the enemys on crimson catseye but its worth it the perk gives 30% range buff
