Okay everyone in the comments is confused so allow me to clarify:
1. BOSS MONSTER is a type of monster, they are called that because they are much stronger than other monsters, they are technically biologically imortal, and their souls can persist after death for some brief moments.
Gerson informs Frisk that a boss monster will never age on their own, they grow up as long as their parents are alive, and their parents age as long as the child is alive;
-If the child dies, the parents will not get any older as their power is no longer draining into their child's soul
-If both parents die, the child will no longer continue to grow as their soul is not receiving power from their parents
If allowed to grow naturally, a boss monster will grow up into an adult until both parents are drained of all their energy and die, then the boss monster will remain eternally at that age, until they have children, who will drain their life force, causing the parent to age

He did grow around like 15 minutes - 1 hour in the Pacifist run, since Asriel DID live for around that time

Slight correction: Boss Monsters age in a sort of river flow way, where the parents age as their child grows older. They effectively share their life-spans and, since Asgore and Toriel's son died before the cycle could be completed, they stopped aging. The river turned into a lake that self-perpetuates

For those confused, a boss monster doesn't equal to a boss. Boss monsters are goat resembling monsters[EDIT: I get it. They might also look differently, but every single one we see looks like a goat. So for all we know, they resemble goats] whose SOULs persist for a few seconds after death(Asgore, Toriel, Asriel)[EDIT:That means that we can see their soul after death. Undyne persists after death, but we never see her soul]. I don't think the child has to be the parent's age for the parent to age. They just have to have a SOUL. That's why Flowey doesn't make Toriel and Asgore age. We know this from Gerson.
