Is this the story that renews my faith in Star Trek time travel stories?

"A nerd in a nerdroom is doing nerd things." Tagline of this channel, to be fair.

I like this two parter way more than I should 🙂The plotholes are glaring, but seeing the crew trying to adjust to 1996 California just makes me smile. The thumbnail for this video surprised me tho: I never realized Ed Begley with a wig looks shockingly similar to a young Ron Howard.

"Lieutenant Sheridan please report to the bridg-" "UNDER ARTICLE 45A SUBSECTION 7 MY HOLODECK TIME IS-" "Okay fine, Kim's in charge. Hate the night crew..."

Tuvok's expression when grabbing that ball is like 3 Vulcan emotions all meshed together. Also, love the "I stole all this technology from the future" photoshop on the office plaque.

Changing the Chronoworx sign to read 'I stole all of this technology from the future, inc' caught me, nice touch.

And I doubt I'm not alone in thinking Uncle Sam's Psychic Readings is the Star Trek spin off we didn't know we needed 😆

I like how Nerd has a huge post it covering a significant amount of her monitor.

I love that running joke: " because Tom Paris is a dick." 🤣

I was watching voyager again because of this review, I'm up to season 5 (give or take a few dozen skips) and I was watching S5E16 and just started 17 when I realized I was thinking about what you would say the whole time. I know its far-off but I can't wait for you to cover so many episodes. And I happened to be contemplating what you find most engaging, which almost seems like what all people find most fascinating/enthralling. Just a feeling, so far. I'll let you know that I find haha. GD stellar (excuse the pun) videos, I'm so glad to be able to listen.

Today's thought experiment: As the shuttles are also equipped with emergency teleporters (seen in S2E11 Maneuvers and S3E01 Basics - Part 2), give me your reasons why Kim didn't use one of those to rescue Janeway and Chakotay instead of Voyager.

Of course it should have required period costumes since the Trek 1990s were every different. Wasn't Khan at the hight of his power at this time?

BTW, thanks for putting in captions. That's something smaller YouTubers don't do, and it's very much appreciated. I presume you script these, making that a big easier?

This is one of my last favorite episodes even tho it has Ed Bagley Jr. Your review improved it exponentially, thanks 😁👍

This episode featured sarah Silverman, who requested to be on star trek. Also, she wanted to come back again, but producers were like nah.

Mmm, I disagree with the assertion that Janeway should have gotten mad a Kim for not following her orders. What's the point of leaving someone in charge if they aren't able to make decisions based on the current situation? Though I do agree that someone ELSE should have been left in charge, lol. There's really no lieutenants anywhere on the ship?

Also, I tried to find the full clip of the "greetings from earth" section to watch the whole thing, but couldn't. It's hilarious to me that the only Japanese on the screen just says "TODAY IS" with no follow up visible. 😂

So after Tuvok shot the weapon out of henchman's hand why not rush him as he is now disarmed and they have a Vulcan security officer, Paris who is a trained commando, and weapons with a stun setting? They could use him as a source of intelligence and a bargaining chip.

Loved the sign you had in the office. At the time my friends and I had a feeling this was supposed to be some sort Tour de force for Voyager. But I considered it to be an idiot driven story. Everyone has to be a moron for it to work. From the people in 25th century to the Voyager crew (Okay I'll give you that one) to the people of the 20th Century, if just one character stopped and said "Hang on, this doesn't make sense, let's have a think." the whole thing would have fallen apart.

I won't mention the second episode for spoilers. Whoo hooo!

Can anyone who works with Cetacean ops confirm their crew compliment? I only ask because after the atmospheric fly-by, there seem to be about forty naked Dolphins in the astrogation tank and what I presume to be the rest of our original cetacean ops (bar, ominously, Crewman Derek) have flooded the next section and appear to have erected 15 parallel forcefields over the door. Our team have been in with them converting their replicators to subnautic models and removing the original soft furnishings. Ensign wopwopwoplub reports that they seem distressed, though crab-dolphin language barriers make further assessment challenging.
