I had the same issue with the wired version, the Reolink Lumus. After several painful hours of tinkering. I accidentally figured it out. You have to dial down the settings on the camera. Apparently on default, it's set to the MAX, so it's eating up your home network wifi bandwidth. Only way to access the camera quality settings is by resetting it. Power it down by unplugging it and then on your app there's an option to Reset it. I just removed it completely and re-added it. Went into device setting. Lowered the video frame rate to the middle range, lowered the image quality to the middle range and lowered the image size to just below the middle range as well. Final video image is still very good quality and I have no issues connecting to the camera now. Hope this helps.

Thank you for making this video that Reolink will not..., did not work as you have BUT did work once I did what you did & then powered off & on twice (allowing the cellular to slowly connect) and then it DID work. Thank you.

What if someone is only using a device that requires W ifi, they can't access this camera? I just purchased a Reolink Argus Pro and I'm getting this same connection failed. I am using two different devices that both require wifi to work.

Still doesnt work. I can connect to my other one just fine even with wifi on, but the other one only works sometimes.

I've read all the comments. For the price of these cameras, you shouldn't have to go through so much BS to get them to work. They suck. The ring cameras are the best. Plus their CS is great...

My lack of connection I'm told VIA error messager on my iphone is that I have a low battery which needs a charge ASAP, the only problem is that I have removed the phone several times from the charger w/ the green light solid only to get this frustrating error message. Does anyone have any advice.

Hi, I have the Argus ECO solar camera. So, internet went out, causing my ring camera and Reolink to go down. I was able to get ring to reconnect, but not Reolink....even after following your steps...very frustrating 😀

I recently purchased an Argus Pro 3. I've tried and tried. It will not connect to the wifi.

I'm also not getting a reset chime and reset voice. So I may have a defective camera. I'll have to call them.

I have to reo pros if im my phones on wifi i cant view my cams but if i try to view them off my phone data it will some times let me view the cams i have a full bar of cell service but the cams say connection failed.

My issue was failure to recognize/link with the router.
I figured out that the password was getting a following " " space that caused it to not be accepted. All is well on my end.

My Argus ReoLink Camera stopped sending emails - has nothing to do with my mobile -- I reset all the cameras and all the cameras have stopped sending emails notifications -- they work manually, but not automatically... It all just happened one day to all 4 ... not being able to fix those - I went out and purchased RING cameras and will see if that will work!

having same issues, tried you fix, n dice...maybe there's a firmware update needs to be had? I've tried removing camera on<>off app, connecting to 2.4G, then wifi works however cellular data doesn't...maybe I need to remove then add the app? about to try, fingers crossed...anyone had any luck with their way, please share, TIA

Great easy fix turning off the phone wifi and connecting over cellular, thank you. I then put the phone wifi setting back on and it continued to work.
