Setup and Secure AWS Free Tier Account

In the following walkthrough we go over
- Signing up for an AWS account.
- Adding Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) to the Root User account.
- Creating an IAM User with an Administrator policy and MFA in order to provision resources.
- Enabling billing alerts and Free Tier limit alerts.
- Creating a billing alarm in order to be notified when exceeding $5.00 in your AWS account.

This video was very helpful getting started. I use to work in large corporate data centers so the multi layered complicated menus is a standard. The issue I had is that AWS seems to have made changes to many of the user screens. The basic functions were there but on a different screen or option. Perhaps you could just describe the menu selection a wee bit before clicking forward. That way is the menu orientation changes we know what to look for. Anyway, thanks for the initial setup walk thru. I would never have found all these menus on my own.

Hi Sean, thanks for the video! Question: I opened an aws account a year ago but never used it much, but now, I need to start learning. Can I open a new aws account, same name, same credit card BUT different E-mail and still be eligible for the free tier? The internet community is divided on this issue.

THank you for this video. Very helpful. I just got a bill from AWS which is in my opinion quite high at least for my budget considering that I only use AWS for emails to 800 addresses every 10 days or so and for my facebook pixel, having said so I'd like to know how existing customers of AWS can apply to the free tier and where can I check my status whether is free tier or not.
