Good 370Z review Danny. Here’s my notes:
Bought a 370Z Nismo a few years back, used completely stock. 2010 Well maintained with only about 40K on the clock. So someone’s garage baby who had to sell when he had a kid.
I added: 1. Stillen Gen3 long intakes. 2. Stillen 34 row oil cooler (yes it’s needed in CA) and yes it all fits. 3. Murdered the stock Nismo wheels Black. 4. JVC stereo with backup cam (needed).
Problems:
1. Fuel thing Danny says - my gauge just stopped going to full tank.
2. Steering wheel lock failed (common fault)
stranded me once. Google for fix. Cost me <$100 or so. DO NOT take it to the Nissan dealer or they will bone you. Later than 2003 (i think) has no lock from factory.
3. Interior is cheap and doesn’t wear well.
4. Performace Upgrades are expensive, limited & some are difficult.
5. Get a manual unless you hate shifting or want to let your gf drive it. Automatic tranny’s totally suck in the Zs.
6. Limited visibility and no trunk space. At all.

A better sleeper is an Infinity saloon car, which is almost the same car with a different body. But- It’s not a Z. You can get better performance for less money in a different package or make.

Summary:
Would I buy one again for like < $27K ? No.
Are they fun to drive & cool cars? Yes.
Do they sound awesome? Yes.
Nice car you can drive to the track & run for a blast? Yes.

That’s my .02 - horses for courses. YMMV.

I bought a 07 350z enthusiast convertible. (I like convertibles)
Bought it with 75k miles in 2019.
3 previous owners.
Everything was stock except the carb legal kn intakes. And the driver window motor was replaced. No reported accidents.

Costs:
Price: 11k msrp from used dealership

Besides the typical oil change/tire rotation,

Timing belt (serpentine belt) replacement: $800
Spark plugs: $400
Battery change: $80
Tpms sensors replacement (all 4):
Estimates - $500-$1000. Next on the list

I knew when I bought it that it may need a little bit of love. I put about 10k miles on the vehicle since I bought it. It’s little issues here and there are popping up. The vehicle just need maintenance. It is hitting its 100k miles soon.

Now would I buy this car again?
chances are pretty high.

Now am I gonna modify it to my liking?
Whenever it stops having minor issues, then yeah.

Temporarily I’ll keep it as it is until the vehicle stops giving me attitude.

Very great video. Straight to the point. The one thing you forgot to say is the base model has an open differential so you cant drift. But I found a base model for 12k and ima upgrade the dif and I'll be good. Anyways great video been here since day 1

100% on the CSC! 08 Infiniti G37S coupe here and my CSC went out 2 times since ive owned the car. Had to replace the CSC as well as the Master, both times. 2nd time upgraded from a the OEM CSC to the Heavy Duty one from JWT. So far its holding up well.

This is my first time owning the 370Z sport and subscribing this channel. Had it since February this year that has low miles. The only thing i had to to replace was the water pumps, gaskets, and thermostat housing because coolant had got onto the top and the front of the engine.

Inspect the bushings on the control arms. Unusual tire wear. Oil sweating around valve cover gaskets. Fluid inspections. Shock and strut condition. If they play it off, odds are their hiding something . Ask for recipes of work and maintenance.
