How To Become a Voice Actor (Without any experience!)

In this video I give 4 easy steps to getting started in the world of voice over.

I'm a completely self-made voice actor, and I started from literal ground zero. I didn't know how to hookup a mic, what software I could use to record on, or where to find work.

These steps are the exact formula that I ended up creating as I went along and it'll save you a lot of exhausting brainpower and days of feeling lost!

I'm just a homeschooled middle school kid, but I have been questioning what I want to do in my future, and voice acting came to mind, I've always been wanting to do something with my voice, I'm aware voice acting takes time, practice, patience, and hard work, this has helped me to understand a lot, so thank you!

I have to honestly say that you seem to be the most honest person I have ever heard on these channels. You made it feel as if I was listening to a long time friend of mine giving me advice. Thank you!!!

I'm glad I'm pursuing this direction in my life. I'm so excited to see how things are unfolding for others on the same path, and I'm also glad to be apart of the same journey. Thanks for putting this video together!

I'm 28, always wanted to do voice acting/voice over since high school. Have a BS in Communications, did theater in high school, spent about 2 years doing radio/production while in college, but never venture out because I'm afraid of the risk of increasing in a passion that might not work out. But really considering starting and this video helped! Thank you!

Natasia - YOU ROCK. *New Subscriber Alert* lol. As an actor who has procrastinated for years in diving into the VO world - I'm finally doing it. Excited, terrified, and hopeful. I'm theatrically trained and have a small repertoire of accents and voices, but I understand and respect the demands and competitive nature of the industry. Experience or not, it's constant rejection and hustle, so I also agree that you have to be prepared and love what you do. That's always comforting :) I love your passion and authenticity. THANK YOU for all that you give, you're such a fireball and inspiring as the sun!!! <3

I love that you made your own demo. I am doing the same right now. Why not? I am reading an excellent book at the moment 'Voice Over Voice Actor' by Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt. Once I've used my current demos for a little while, I will do what you did and get it professionally made. Thanks for great content x

Trying my best to do the voice-overs for my animations... It's really difficult, but, I use whatever help I can to make it sound alright enough!
Thanks for the help, I hope my next video will be better because of it!

I'm really glad I discovered your channel. I've always been interested in doing vocal work, but I'm finally taking steps to make it happen as part of my post-retirement job mix. You and Booth Junkie are the two most helpful sources of information I've found. Thank you for breaking down the advice into specific, easily understood
segments that I can apply to my needs. Your website is great, as well. I appreciate having you as a resource!
