Divinity has co-op as well. Another important distinction.

I liked POE 2 enough, DOS 1 was great, but DOS 2 was a pain to play due to the looter based system. I hated that every 1 or two levels i had to re-equip my whole party with new gear. Gonna try out Pathfinder kingmaker now hope it's better than the rest. I was sceptical but videos like these make me wanna try it out cause of the high praise it gets from true fans of crpgs like cohh

Love all three. Pathfinder was the one who caught me more and the one who I spent ridiculous amount of hours maybe because I played D&D when younger. All three are highly recommendable.

I'm just happy these great games exist with the downfall of Bioware. Pathfinder and D:OS2 are modern masterpieces imo.

DOS2 is amazing, loved it played it multiple times through and I swear I find something new everytime, no matter how thorough I try to be there's always some small that I find on a new playthrough. My favourite line so far was when you saddle up with Fane and he asks you how it was and one of your responses can start with "Aggressively pull on your boots"... gave me a good chuckle.

The fact we have enough RPGs that we can debate which is better shows we're in a boon era. Through the late 90s to 2012 we were lucky if we got one rpg a year and we'd obsess over it no matter what it was or how good it was. Now we've got DOS, POE, Kingmaker, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Crosscode, Dragon Quest, Fighting Fantasy, with Outerworlds and Cyberpunk towards the end of this year. All radically different all with pros and cons and interesting quirks. We now have so many RPGs we can say "Nah, that ones not really worth playing" which we haven't been able to do since Gold Box era.

All enjoyable, I found Wasteland 2 slightly better than Pathfinder personally for crpgs. Divinity 2 has the best combat for me but I prefer the writing in Pillars 1/2 and Wasteland 2.

The biggest problem of pathfinders is loading time. I beat the game after over 150 hours and I would say 50 hours were spent looking at loading screen.

DOS2 is on a completely new level. Nothing compares to the fun and story. Love it. Both the first and second game actually.

Totally agree with everything you said. Pathfinder was the best RPG combat experience ever for me. RPG system is very deep and very well balanced. That's why combat routine never got me bored like it did even in some brilliant RPGs like PoE1.

All Divinity games have this strange Belgian humor, love and played them since Knight Saga

You should play Tyranny. It's a really great game.

POE 2 is by far one of my most favorite games. I have over 200 hours of play time on POE 1 & 2 (combined).

I totally agree man! It had a very rough start, but after a lot of the bugs were ironed out I rank this up there with Baldur's Gate 2 as well!

DOS2 still has the best combat experience out of all CRPG titles in the past few years or so. It's easy to get into, and very forgiving to players newer to the genre. It's also the most polished and well directed out of the three. My main issue with DOS2 is that it offers very little when it comes to an in-depth Role Playing experience, compared to other popular CRPGs out there, DOS2 is very linear, to a point where killing everything is most of the time, the best way to go about things. The game's also among the easiest to play, I'd say second only to Tyranny on the newer titles.
POE2 is what classic CRPG looks like with the current age of tech. Solid gameplay, comprehensive story, all the ingredients of what makes a good CRPG. My main issue with POE2 is inconsistency, the game hovers between trying to grab DND, PNP, and new style Dragon Age-like system that sometimes got so lost in it.
Pathfinder Kingmaker has the longest and biggest content out of any CRPGs out there at the moment. It has the longest story, largest areas to explore, the most things to do in a CRPG, and the biggest bang for your buck. Pathfinder also offers the most Role-Playing experience out of the three, it goes even further than POE2 when it comes to how you play the game. It's also one of the most rewarding CRPG to play if you know what you're doing. Problem is, it's also absolutely, without a doubt the hardest one out of the bunch. It is very punishing for people who's unfamiliar with PNP or even CRPG mechanics or gameplay in general. The biggest issue is however, the game is a PC adaptation of a pen-and-paper game. This is both a really good and a really bad idea. PNP mechanics does not translate well into PC games, and it shows.
In Summary, Pathfinder Kingmaker might be the best overall CRPG today, but unless you really like the genre, you're gonna hate playing it, everything relies on RNG, it's also the main representative of "there are consequences to everything you do", it's also really hard, like, really really hard if you're a first time completionist, there are so many things that you can miss, or fail to do, if you haven't done it before, forgot bringing a scroll sold by an NPC back in the capital town? that's it, you're fked, the quest will fail, missed building a character's Athletics/Mobility/etc. on your party during this quest? forget finishing that quest properly. None of the other two does this to this extent, and I love it.
