I’ve always said that Merle was a wasted character and had another season or two in him to better grow his character I think he would’ve had a more impactful death if he was around longer

Merle was literally my favourite character in s3 and I was sad when he died but I think he died at the right time. He couldn’t be domesticated but at the same time he regretted his decisions in the past and wanted to make up for it. His death was perfect for his character. Tyreese could have stayed an extra season and die in No Way Out like Morgan in the comics.
