It's the slightly parabolical trajectory of the pass combined with the camera angle that gives us the impression Luka threw a curve ball.
There's no way the Magnus effect could be significantly observed on a hand-thrown basketball over such a short distance.

This is an optical illusion. play it at .25 speed and you'll see the throw is straight, if anything the net may have changed the trajectory a small amount, but probably not.
