I cannot install Visual studio 2019. I downloaded the Community edition file from the Microsoft website. While executing the downloaded file it does seem to start and download additional files and as soon as I see the download bar complete the window closes instantly and I can't choose the workload or I don't see the IDE installed .

I use Windows 8.1 I tried opening the installer file from Program Files x86 but the window opens for a second and closes again. I tried repeating the process by fresh download and nothing seem to help. Can anyone please help me setting up this.

You cannot install Visual Studio 2019 in Windows 8.x however, try to install Visual Studio 2019 in Windows 10 1809 or later.
