Here's my rip concept on the Rayfan9876 custom composition of the Rayman 1 + Rayman Advance The Musician's Song track performed as part of the nostalgic Rayman 1 PC playthrough called the Rayman Long Run series (which still remains incomplete up to the present day as of this upload presumably due to IRL circumstances) performed by Adsolution in 2007. The main composition of the original track along with both of the OST productions was by Rémi Gazel, Didier Lord and Stéphane Bellanger in 1995 and 2001. The original composition was an exclusive track on Rayman Advance for the GBA and my old friend Adsolution (previously known as Rayfan9876) produced this specific unique version based on it and played it on a guitar for Part 7 of the long run on the PC version of Rayman 1 within Rayman Forever. It makes an appearance at 4:39 in the video, in the middle of the starting point where the first phase within the level Mr Stone's Peaks presents the super-helicopter power as gameplay progression takes place. This reprise in particular is not only obscure but also a personal piece of YouTube nostalgia like a blast from the past from my perspective growing up with the old YouTube revisiting my past old classic games, especially with the level of immersivity and uniqueness each playthrough brought to the table back in the day. Building on that, the reason why I put Rayfan9876 instead of Adsolution in the title was purely because it adds to the element of personal nostalgia in service of it. In terms of the rip concept itself, I call it a rip concept due to the fact that it's not a completely separate rip of the track itself, hence it was ripped from the playthrough itself, since the original background composition itself was never released separately to the public, making it even more of a rare standalone track period. Therefore there was no other way to obtain the track in any way, shape or form. Partially replicating the closest thing to it with loop splices in Audacity had to be the case. Upon revisiting the specific part of the playthrough, I clocked that the track looped approximately 1.5 times, which then provided me with the opportunity to cut around all the clean parts of each loop in order to completely cut out a decent portion of sound effects plus overlap certain loop sections to push some of the remaining sound effects even further into the background in order at least create and provide the cleanest possible rip purely with the resources available from the source content. In that respect it's pretty much a semi-clean rip per se. Looking back retrospectively this still could have piss easily been done ages ago by anyone with the right knowledge, however for the record since no one else has done it at this point in time, I figured there was no time like the present and proceeded to execute and pull it off myself, panning out with this as the end result. It's clearly not perfect, hence having to put up with it being a camera recording with the understandable keyboard press and type sounds in the background on top of the in-game sound effects (especially the debatably obnoxious chopped up helicopter sound effects that were considerably minimised in this rip) but in spite of that it was still fun to work on, especially for the way it turned out! it still did the job for the most part and for what it's worth, it just about works as a temporary version of the track on top of that! Feel free to subscribe, like, comment to leave feedback and/or share this video with other people! Stay tuned for more content! Future projects will come in their own good time so please be patient! Thanks for watching!
