My thought is to arrange one larger L with the other larger L to make a square, put a little square inside it, put a large square in contact with the two squares and form a square with the remaining L and the big square.
The L square + the little square, the empty space + the little square and the little square make 3 squares, and the big square with the square formed from the L make 5 squares.

I think they literally shown proof that the 3 “squares” ARE irregular It’s like saying “I can see the entire world at once because that’s the only thing i can see” The puzzle isn’t a puzzle more than it is a perspective game and straight out just is wrong.
