How to take a Quartet Bet with TAB

A Quartet Bet challenges you to select the first four horses to finish in the exact order in a single race.
To place a Quartet bet with TAB, find the race you’re wanting to bet on, and select “Quartet” from the Bet Type dropdown menu.
There are four ways of placing a Quartet bet: a straight-line Quartet, a Multi Quartet, a Boxed Quartet, or a Floating Banker.
A Straight-Line Quartet is when you pick the exact order of the first four finishers in one specific combination. For example, horse 3 to come 1st, horse 8 to come 2nd, horse 5 to come 3rd, and horse 2 to come 4th.
You can select different potential orders for the top four finishers - making your bet a Multi Quartet - which increases your chances of winning, as well as the cost of the bet.
In a Boxed Quartet, you select four or more horses, and you win if four of your chosen horses finish in the top four in any order. This increases your chances of winning as it covers multiple possible combinations, while costing more than a simple Quartet.
A Floating Banker is when you select one or more 'banker' horses that you are confident will finish in the top four, in any order, with the other horses finishing in the remaining top four spots.
This reduces the number of combinations you need to cover compared to a Boxed bet, and can be a smart way to keep the cost of the bet lower, while still having a strong chance of winning if you are confident about the performance of certain horses in the race.
Fractional betting - where you win a percentage depending on what you spend - is available on TAB, making it more affordable when selecting more than four horses in your Quartet Bets.
