The way they got Gwyneth was from this one event called "Silverburst tribute" and is triggered at 8-30 for new or returning players for 28 days.
It's mainly just get Gwyneth to mythic and build her signature item and leveling her up

That Trial Gwen is from if/when you trigger the Silver Gwen event for being away from the game and are within a certain Campaign range.
