I just passed my SIE today, huge thanks to your channel -- and I 100% agree. I work a 9-5 where I'm on the phone almost every hour with clients. The last thing I wanted to do was open up my book and read for 2-4 hours.

Waking up at 6AM to study for 2 hours then get to work helped me retain information and also even helped me at work as I was already working my brain and ready to go.

Everything said in this video is true. I fell victim to thinking I could study at night, or after work, and then things happen: you get invited to happy hours, you grab a drink with your friends, your favorite show is on that night, you want to watch the basketball game, etc etc.

Also -- one thing that might be out of your control, but is a good thing to time: DO YOUR TESTING DURING THE WINTER. Trying to study and stay inside when it's beautiful out and everyone's partying is def hard to be disciplined about.

I used Achievable, and while the testing and quizzes were great, I fully recommend to read the official book from Kaplan as well. And supplement with YouTube videos when you want to take a day off. Keep your studying to one month so you can retain everything. Even on days you want to take off, just read a chapter or do some quizzes. It's all about keeping momentum.

Good luck for anyone else taking it.

I just passed my SIE. Studied for a week from one of these boring online schools. I found your videos and BAM! It all made sense. You're the best!!!! So I want to say thanks a million. I couldn't have passed this exam, the first time, without you!!

- Read the book only, don’t take notes.

-Do chapter quizzes, reread what you didn’t get at least 75%, do final testing.
- study on the morning
- working out (don’t skip this)
- need a real break

I agree with taking breaks while studying and giving your brain some time to retain. I had to take 4 insurance exams in a month. No industry experience at all. I would read the book for an hour, then take a 15 minute break, and then repeat. After a chapter, I would go back and highlight main points to refresh, take the practice exams, then move on. And do this thru the entire book. Once I was done with the entire book I would do the practice exam. The day of the test I did flashcards and a refresher. I would study and take the test for each exam (license) a week each, and doing this I passed all four tests first try and received all four licenses within a month. I have also passed the MLO license test first try, also with zero industry experience. There definitely is a strategy for good study habits. Everyone learns differently and will retain better in their own way, visual vs reading. Learn concepts, and memorize terms. The more senses (visual and listening) you use the more you will retain. Different study habits are used for different retention levels, think explanation videos for long term retention and flash cards for short term retention. To pass a test in a hurry use all methods for long medium and short term retentions, and cramming especially works for short term (one hour before taking tests). Always have a plan. Study then take the test asap, don’t wait to take or you will forget things. 👍

Hi Ken! You are the reason I passed my SIE, 7, & 63! Thank you for all of your content!!

I have my Series 31 next Thursday but I couldn't find any content on your page. Do you have any advice/ plans to make a video on the 31??

Thank you so much for the content! Took the SIE for the first time today and passed. I used a lot of your SIE content while preparing for the exam and it truly helped a lot. Will definitely recommend to my peers and will definitely use your Series 7 content as well for the future. Thank you so much!

I'm glad I came across your channel. Just got a job that requires all the licenses. But first is the finra then series 6 and 7.

I'm most likely getting the achievable FINRA online course first. Would you say the provided text book is good enough from achievable? Thank you

Question. I have a series 7 book. Pass the seven by Robert walker. Can I study that instead and take the sie exam?

Not really related but maybe you can help me. I was just offered a job at chase but told I wouldn’t be able to trade my own retail account anymore due to the nature of the job. Now I don’t want to take the job because I love trading and am profitable but wanted a job in the financial industry, I am currently in the healthcare industry. Are there jobs in this industry that I can go for that will also allow me to continue trading my own accounts? Thanks in advance
