We didn't get to see this total eclipse. However, in 2017, we were in the path of totality in Oregon. It was definitely life changing and it felt like we were part of the universe. It brought me to tears.

My wife, six month old son and I drove from Washington DC to Maurice K. Goddard State Park in Pennsylvania to see the total eclipse. We turned it into a three day mini vacation. It was absolutely breathtaking. We also saw the solar flare.

I went down about 10 miles south of fort Wayne Indiana I seen the whole thing I was just inside the path of totality it was very humbling yet awe inspiring and now at almost 62 years old I can take that off my bucket list
