PAC-MAN In Minecraft

Today we play pac man in Minecraft. Like seriously it's actually pac man with ghost AI and stuff and it's crazy.

The game is not bugged, you have "ghost turn around" set to off. I think this means you can only turn around at intersections or when a super pellet is eaten, because that's how the normal ghost AI works.

I feel like they use the normal Pac-Man AI, due to how Clyde avoided you when he got close. Really impressive how the map maker managed to recreate them in Minecraft.

Ok I’m going to say this so other people don’t have to. The map was not being glitchy when he couldn’t turn around. The ghosts can’t turn around except in special circumstances, just like in the original arcade game.

That’s why there was an option called “ghost turn around” that was set to off. I think it’s automatically allowed in first person mode because you likely don’t know where you’re going most of the time and not being able to turn around sounds like pain.

Geez, I remember playing Pac Man in arcades. Makes me feel old. I also remember that the difficulty didn't change. Then a few guys hacked a Pac man machine and "updated" the game. Then there were higher difficulties. It was all the rage. They also did it for other arcade games. The group was sued, won then eventually went to work with game creators in Japan. Man those were the days. Sheesh what a nostalgia trip.

A Pac-Man multiplayer where the ghosts are in first-person and Pac-Man in top-down view would actually be pretty cool I think.

The only thing I know about the ghost munching with the super pellet is that you want to try getting them all to bunch up together right before snapping it up. I don't have the technical knowledge to pull it off, but that's what people who intend quickly rack up a high score do. There's also the part where any line that does not have pellets while in super mode is sometimes a waste when they aren't bunched up for easy munching. Better to take advantage of them being scared when they're scattered by going for the pellet lines instead. But that's about move optimization, and not necessarily fun. Unless being able to employ these strategies to win more makes it more fun. Your mileage may vary.

'im stuck' says Jordan when he is playing the ghost that can only go forward. He doesn't go back the way he came. Blue onky goes forward, pink is a coward and will run away if given the chance, red is aggressive, and yellow is random! That's their shtick!

Well the AI and other works all going in well and then the plays all coming in dope and the PacMan doing some elite job overall and then yes the time and the dedication all gone in well and playing out nice and just coming in dope overall and the plays all in clutch and the plays all fun and bringing into the center and the PacMen all fun and just a lil' annoying and gotta fix it through and become better as stuff goes on

Kinda unrelated but wanted to throw this out there. Would absolutely love to see a "Mianite type" of server with xeen, pete, mark, kara etc. Doesnt even have to be related but just to have that same vibe and friends playing on a server with roleplay, pvp etc...

But seriously, the nostalgia! Playing this on the Atari as a little girl, the excitement and the anxiety in avoiding those little ghosts, the sounds the Atari was capable of producing.
