@MasterEDog And levers wouldn't have the same functionality. His setup lets you have buttons at both the top AND bottom. Levers would require you to reset them at each level to use.

Btw by pushing blocks in the gaps and removing them with pistons on button press you can easily add stops.

You could have different floors. The same design on each floor, but have different buttons to activate which floor the ending point is on.

Version 2 idea, have pistons release water at different points to make the water come faster, even better use buttons to make it able to target single floors.

about the speed, have a two streams of water? the first about half way up, which then deactivates after a delay?

@OrionRaw correct me if im wrong but there is only 1 water outlet at a time there is never two at the same.... i might be wrong have not seen the vid!!! i am on my phone and do not have 3g...

just use the Xor gate and two switches

Only downside is the long time it takes for water to reach bottom, thus long waiting time.

@minecraftpg5 why use 2? just connect both buttons to one t-flipflop and skip the xor
