6:46 The only way you will be able to do that trick is by triggering his chase. Tenome has a 10 second cooldown before his hearing ability gets activated again. That's a trick that some use to be able to walk next to him or wont be seen when infront of him. I have done it before. Though, becareful as he may hear you earlier than thought.

When I did this part with my friends, I distracted the monster (going back and forth to the elevator) and my other friends lit up the candle. Time to time we go downstairs to get our oxygen full. You just have to be very careful!

For all ppl who have pc or high graphics, i suggest you to low your graphics, so you can see more (if you don't know it).
And all of the monster in book 2 has a great ear, and they can see u if you turn on your lantern especially in paintings part.
And keep this in mind, more ppl more candles you will light, so i suggest you to play duo or solo.

Tip: when he goes to the right side RIGHT after he slightly passes the elevator go get left candle beside elevator, he will not chase you

For some ppl that may find this useful: everytime a phase just starts, the monsters teleport to their spawns (tenome on left, kishin at the back abd hyakume at the candle i think)

Tip: Kishin or three eyed monster, doesn't doble back randomly, the reason he keeps getting where you are is cause he hears your footsteps and goes to where you are if you run or walk just like krampus, Rin, kurobozu, tsukiya and tenome, I recommend crouching as he will not hear you and he will follow his path normally, just like with ALL the other monsters that hear. :)
(They all hear footsteps in normal and nightmare btw)

Kishin and Tenome's double backing has a cooldown 17 seconds, if you crawl they cant hear you

also, im not sure if this works for all the oxygen monsters but when i spam crouch infront of the blob, it just ignores me or walks past. id reccomend to get up and crouch back down every 4 or 5 seconds, it was quite helpful for me. if you dont crouch back down fast enough, it can get you. also, if your crouching even if you go into their hitbox you will still die, itll avoid you though. i was able to get the blob out of the hall then spam crouch while i get the candle. then wait at the back of the candle and then when it exits the hall, then you can leave. when i was playing with my friends, after dying a bunch of times suddenly the blob floor oxygen tanks didnt work, so it was a bit infuriating. i dont think the oxygen tanks run out so we basically weren't able to get any oxygen and we just gave up. this video is really helpful since its the hardest for me.
