Tools for OpenAI models, like GPT-4 or o1, to use computers and approve actions via human voice are already available as open-source software, but they require well-crafted prompts to achieve semi-reliable performance. I made one myself (VS AI Companion), and it was not very difficult. I believe the main challenges are ensuring reliability and implementing proper security.

It only states that that open AI has worked on a product that aims to do these things not that it has achieved it. Just like how Apple worked on Electric autonomous vehicles but after years of trying to get that off the ground it shut down.

Just this week I asked both 4o and o1 to find the output lines and add color to a Linux tool written in C. It failed, couldn't find the output lines, and kept recommending random edits that didn't achieve the goal. I ended up having to figure it out myself.
