Boy enough of looking at porn and shit ima tell you about some tanks used in the war first the tiger 1

The Tiger 1 (or Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf.), is a German heavy tank designed by Erwin Aders. It first entered mass production in August, 1942 (production of the Tiger 1 ended in August, 1944). The main armament of the Tiger 1 was the 8.8 cm KwK 36 gun, derived from the German 8.8 cm flak 36. Although the tank was marveled at the time and feared by the Allies, the tank was often called “over-engineered.” This is because the Tiger 1 used expensive materials to be produced, and labor intensive methods to produce them. The Tiger 1 was also prone to track failure, and because of the over engineered wheels, it would take hours to repair them.
Even though the Tiger 1 was considered a good tank, they did not come without their faults. Tiger 1 tanks had a tendency to spontaneously catch fire due to faulty fuel lines. The powerful gun did not come without its drawbacks either. Some of the various drawbacks of the guns were that gunner accuracy was decreased because of cramped conditions and clumsy controls, and if the crew’s mouth’s were not opened while the main gun was firing, their ears would burst. The Tiger 1 was considered invulnerable by the “inferior '' 75 mm gun, that was not true, although the tank would take minimal damage from the basic 75 mm guns found on most Sherman medium tanks, the crew could die from the repeated 75 mm HE strikes. Another drawback of the Tiger 1 was the weight (50 tons or 54 metric tons), and because of this, some bridges would be destroyed under the extreme weight of the heavy tank.
More of the drawbacks of the tank was that White Phosphorus rounds fired at it would sometimes set the tank ablaze. The reload time of the main gun was not ideal, sitting at an average reload time of 10.9 seconds. The armor of the tank was not that great either. Even though it was over 100 mm thick in some areas, it was not angled, and could be penetrated easily by larger caliber guns found on later war tanks made by the USSR, UK, and USA. The tank was also susceptible to shaped charges, such as the German Pazerfaust, or Britain’s PIAT. To add insult to injury, some damages done to the Tiger 1 could not be repaired out in the field due to a lack of required tools. The speed of the Tiger 1 was also limited to 38km/h, due to an installed governor to improve the engines life. The Tiger 1 was also known to consume large amounts of fuel.
In short, even though the Tiger 1 was a good tank in the field and is over-worshipped by pop-culture today, it was still extremely flawed and was not the best tank in the world
