1. It is said that Jay Lewis, who made into Stage 4 two years ago, withdrew the National Final for two straight years.
2. On the female side, Addy Herman went the furthest as she came up short at Dipping Birds.
3. Najee still got a shot for the injuries of other ninjas, but failed at the Gambler that he completed last year.
4. RJ Roman moved on to Stage 4 two years in a row, but shockingly fell out of the course as he tried to land at the Gambler.
5. Other accidental moments such as Donovan, who failed at Jumping Spider for the first time; and a teenager, Ben, who advanced to Stage 2 last year, couldn't get the ace at the Gambler.
6. So far, 13 ninjas completed Stage 1. Noah Meunier set the fastest time and finished in two minutes. There were 18 finishers last year, so it's possible that there will be over 24 finishers moving on to Stage 2 head-to-head this year.

R j Roman and Najee Richardson failure was shocking. Najee got chance to run as alternate for a competitor but unfortunately he failed.
Nick Hanson failed to reached the final obstacle for the first time. I was expecting from Nick atleast to reach the final obstacle once more but that didn't happened, very shocking.
Classy Ninja Donovan Metoyer failed unexpectedly on jumping spider I was hoping that he will reach second stage once more but he also shockingly failed in stage 1.
Jessie Graff timed out but I am happy for her because she made it back to Vegas
I hope Jessie will come back next year

With 13 finishers on the 1st night of the National Finals, which invaded more than half of the Top 24, there's a chance that even when a ninja hit Stage 1 buzzer, they still couldn't make it to Stage 2, so John, Sean and Cam aren't safe right now.

I think they should remove the time limit or add 1 more minute for the women. Some of them could go further but run out of time on the 7th or 8th obstacle.

I think Stage 1 would be better than last year. I would be sure that the Top 24 rule would be meaningless, since there is possibly a chance that there will be more than 24 finalists in Stage 1. But we'll see what happens next week.

Same fate to Austin Gray 2 years ago, he just lean off the landing pad, but unlike him, RJ didn't hit his foot touched the water, he fell off the course. WOW!!😮😞
