No spoilers but that Venice sequence after the party is absolutely masterful. McQuarrie's direction is stellar, the fight choreography feels really brutal and heavy at times (in a fantastic way), but particular kudos to Eddie Hamilton's editing because it is insane just how well the sequence builds in tension to a truly horrifying degree.

Tom Cruise is one of the only actors who puts even CGI to shame with his stunts

I respect McQuarrie's intent to make every new M.I movie he makes, feel new, as if it were a new director, staying true to the old M.I tradition. It's why he has used a different cinematographer on every new installment and crew members also.

The entire Venice sequence is incredible. From how its filmed, what it does for the story the action and the emotion it creates. Filmmaking at its finest.

Well done McQ, Tom and the whole team. The film is simply wonderful. It has the style of the original, a blasting soundtrack, ingenious set pieces (love the airport terminal shenanigans), maturity, heart and soul (Luther's paternal advice to Grace sums it up), attention to the effects of tiny details, such as the gleeful face of an assassin about to flatten a compound of scooters, the rat-a-tat sound of detonating charges mimicking the intro to the famous theme; and the sound of the brake-induced drag of the locomotive's coupled wheels acting against the motion of the train as it plunges over the precipice. MI7 is a work of genius. I can scarcely wait for the sequel

Just watched this film.
The moment he jumps off that clip I got raw goosebumps.
Say what you want about this guy but he pushes his limits for the audience.

I live near Venice, I have spent a lot of time there and it is a very difficult location for everything, I would never live there but it is beautiful, pure magic and we should respect it more. From what I have seen here it has been done justice to it. Thank you Tom and Christopher

This moment 0:33 Is one of my fav moments in the movie. It shows that these two spies/agents/whatever can just take a moment and be vulnerable people and be happy that it's their first time in this beautiful city.

Also it was ironic that as globe-trotting as Ethan has been over 20 years, there are some cities he had not been in.

What a nice delicate moment between the two. So lovely, so human. I'm glad it wasn't cut. It always put a warm smile on my face.

I've been to Venice 6 years ago and now I'd love to visit again thanks to McQ and Tom Cruise who chose the perfect city to film the best Mission movie.
