Alex Manners ‘had no idea’ what Autism was when he was diagnosed - his dad told him it was a superpower, so he grew up believing just that.

Alex has always viewed his Autism in a positive light, and it is something he “feels lucky to have managed.” Alex attributes his career successes to his “Superpower” and describes it as a “head start” in pursuit of his goals.

However, having Autism hasn't been without difficulties. His school years were 'some of the most challenging' of his life; he often felt misunderstood by teachers and peers, and this would give him feelings of anxiety.

But, through the nurturing words of support from his dad combined with Alex’s relentless and determined attitude Alex believes he 'can achieve absolutely anything'.

Each week we’re going to highlight some of the incredible people who’ve shared their stories on @storiboard
