why do you care the proportion for >140 on the histogram? Why is 140 important? Why not anything above 0, since our hypothesis asks if the biology students spend more than sociology.

Hello, thanks for the lecture... but it is not clear enough on how to reject the null hypothesis... we donot know the P value here nor the level of significance in the question... to fully understand ... why we reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis.

The permutation test is well understood...
