Qsc k12's and Elx118p's at large outdoor venue

just testing out my qsc/ev system and how it works outdoors on a big stage. i am running just 2 qsc k12's and a presonus 16.0.2 mixer. its amazing how this setup handled such a large area. i was only running around 85%. the presonus makes for a great all around mixer and recording interface. i haven't gotten my ipad yet but i will soon.

If you were doing a full-on concert, I would understand. But the OP stated, he was only using it for music background. You'd be surprised how far you can cover with the speakers up high enough.

Nice! I love my EV's but I plan on buying the QSC K/KW setup for larger events.

Would running 4 k12s and 4 Ev subs be enough for that venue?

Well there was nobody there. If you fill the place with 4000 heads you wouldn't hear your pa at all. It wouldn't be enough for even monitors for a band. I own the same system so I'm not knocking it, but there's no way it could compete with a line array that they use for big shows there. Just
