This is a bit of a mental hurdle to get over, but it's important to maintain your garden properly. Sometimes, that can mean pulling a plant out of your garden.
It can be really tempting to let all of your plants grow for as long as possible. That's reasonable enough!
But that can sometimes hurt your overall garden. For example, older plants are usually too weak to fight off insects. By harboring those pests, they may spread to other crops. This same goes for diseases. Something like powdery mildew can quickly spread around your growing area!
As plants age and seasons change, really consider if the plant is worth keeping in the garden.
