So they have build a solar powerplant nearby to supply the electricity. Good, but if you are putting white cloth around the buildings and parkings to provide shade why then don't you also use solar panels? That would decrease the amount of extra land required for the solar plant.

did not address the solar power - how large of power supply is coming from the solar? Are batteries included so that the system can run 24/7 or does it just run during the day? The uniqueness of this system is its power supply and yet nothing is mentioned.

I musta missed something. This looks like a regular desalination plant. Where's the solar stuff?

Where does the Brine Water go?
How much energy is required to run the plant?

the graphics are so cool and i absolutely loved the video

So some of reply's below here are taking about solar panels not being present and the brine not being reused and some wasteful engineering.
Im no engineer by profession, not by a longshot.
So to keep this humble, a few questions.
Could they not reuse the brine to make salt i mean Cl and Na should be usefull products ?
Is it not more efficient to distill the water ? perhaps with direct solar ?
Perhaps there are more steps than that are needed here ?

Any idea how much it costs for solar powered with 1TMC/day capacity sea water purification?

In which software you have made this Animation ?? Also please help me regarding the software used for video editing.

i don't see any solar panels. the title says it's solar powered and where are the solar panels??

We took water and the planet for granted. and this is the best we have. We're fucked.

This is awesome, truly a dream come true. Thanks to the video producers also for showcasing the details. This technology has immense potential world-wide to bring life to the deserts, whether animal or vegetable life. The hard part is what to do with the heavily salinated waste water, right?
BTW - Peace be upon all Israel, the way, the truth, the life will prevail!

Voice commentary describing the system would be far better than the elevator music.

I should’ve been more specific because the title did say solar powered.

Hmm what about electrolysis? Pass a current through the water and separate it into hydrogen and oxygen. Burn the hydrogen again to receive fresh water.

I went swimming at Adelaide beach, and the water was so salty. Isn't the salt melting the ice caps? Salt melts ice doesn't it?
(Why doesn't anyone listen to anyone in this world. We are as good as dead🌪️.)

Hi, Just a third semester chemE UG student here! Why are they taking water from about 6300 km away from shore?Any reason?

OUR invention avoids the extra-energy needed for water boiling and the safety problems associated with the old systems

Nice to see they included a mosque. I assume they'll also have a ecumenical worship building for all the Christian, Jews, Hindus and Sikhs who will be working there.
