The Cheapest Retina MacBook Pro Money can Buy

preview_player
Показать описание
The Late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro is a fantastic budget MacBook, and can be had for about $500. A budget mac that costs less than $600 can be hard to find, but with this Retina MacBook Pro you can get a recent, retina MacBook Pro that is fully supported in macOS Mojave. This Pro is worth checking out for writers, travel vloggers, and is a great MacBook for Students. When shopping for a used MacBook Pro, it is important to remember that performance per dollar isn't a priority. Used PCs are always going to outperform a MacBook, but many people prefer the experience of using a MacBook Pro to a Lenovo Thinkpad. It's personal preference

As usual, I really enjoy your videos. You have made me love my mid-2012 2.6GZ 15-inch unibody non-retina MacBook Pro even more. I upgraded the ram upon purchase of it 20 15GB upon ordering it in June of 2012 and in 2015 used an OWC kit to put a 250 SSD in the DVD bay and replaced the 750 HD with a 1TB. I installed the OS and all programs onto the SSD. It runs very well and I am able to easily edit 20 minute YouTube videos for my channel. You provide a service for people who love Mac OS but cannot afford the high entry-level price for a new MacBook. Thank you once again.

I bought my 2014 13 inch pro on eBay for $400 dollars about a year ago. The seller was selling it for parts because of screen issues. But when scrolling through the photos I saw it had screen delamination. So I took a risk and ordered it. After it arrived I took it to my local apple store, and completely disregarded the fact the screen didn't work, and told them I wanted a new one due to the delamination! Here I am today typing this out on my speedy 2014 ;) ! Love your videos! Cheers

Your videos are amazing! You inspired me to buy a for parts/not working 2011 iMac for $170. I received it and all I needed was RAM! It now works amazingly and is all I need out of an iMac! Thanks so much for your informational videos!

I have a late 2013 full spec 15' Macbook Pro. Not selling it. Would not trade it for a new one. Keyboard is great. The screen had the stain problem, but I took off the entire shiny top layer (with the same stuff you use to polish your car) and now it is a mat screen and - to be honest - that looks a lot better. Top tip! Take off that layer.

I have a 2012 15 retina 8GB and 256GB SSD that I upgraded to 1TB mSATA with an $8 adapter and a Samsung 840. WiFi was also upgraded to ac with a late 2013 card. Great laptop, got the original battery, still going strong after 5 years!

i work as a senior systems engineer at an online service provider, and i use this exact macbook pro as my primary workstation for everything that i do. it is surprisingly useful, reliable and powerful for what it is. honestly it was the best decision i made to move away from an i7 12GB desktop running windows 10 to this little macbook. it is snappy, powerful and extremely portable, with a battery that doesnt ever want to die. you get alot of ports and when paired with a jetdrive in the SDcard slot, you get more space without the inconvenience of an external HDD. i cannot recommend it enough. great review btw.

$1300 laptop in 2013 with 4gb soldered ram? I would have paid the extra high apple tax for 8gb. If I really wanted this back then.

I’ve got the late 2013 13” with 256gb ssd and 8gb of ram. It’s great for university beside its weight. I may go for an iPad Pro to save some weight in my backpack. Great machine!

I think you made a good distinction between the 'Pro' 13" users and the 15" users. I am a writer and a professor, and so I really love my 13" MBPs.

I use a late 2012 13-inch retina and it works fantastic. I've gone through 600+ cycles on the battery and it still works almost like new (91% of the original capacity remaining). It's just the perfect laptop for me. Every time I see a newer 13-inch with touch bar I do notice the thinner and lighter form factor and more processing power, but frankly I don't really care. I'm not going to edit any pro-res videos and I'm not going to play any games; I'm perfectly happy with a machine to surf the web smoothly and enjoy media, while occasionally doing some productivity tasks, non of them really demanding or anything. I can and will use this laptop until the very day it becomes obsolete, and even after that, I strongly believe it deserves a well-lit place in my room and occasional booting.

The late 2013 8G RAM 256 SSD is what I'm typing you on. I bought it new. The only thing that makes me wonder about replacing it is the size of the SSD because of the pics I take that I don't modify much. I think you helped me decide to keep it for a while unless it dies.

Got a mid 2010 mbp dual booting Mojave and Sierra. The c2d is kinda slow, but what more does a high school student need anyways(still better than shitty school computers lol). I also have the dvd drive with an empty hard drive bay, an ssd and 10 go of ram
