I love that he's started doing songs like this, aside from Shinedown. His voice is incredible, and it's like he's opened up so many more doors for himself. I respect his music so much, that I could listen to either Shinedown all day or Smith and Myers. But I'll be honest, starting to REALLY like Smith and Myers more. Keep it up Brent.

This song reminds me of an old friend who took her life 17 years ago, I still think of her often and have literally had nights of no sleep thinking of her. I shared this song with her mom recently and I made her day just by letting her know that her daughter is not forgotten and someone else is still thinking of her.

Both men are immensely talented. I admire the bravery it takes not to pour your heart into a song, but too then release it for all the world to hear. Knowing there are those that will judge, criticize, and rip your own personal heartache to shreds.
