About I Dream of Jeannie: Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman star in this classic ‘60s comedy about a genie and her master. When astronaut Tony Nelson is forced to crash-land on a remote Pacific island, he finds a strange bottle that's washed ashore. When he opens it, out pops a genie named Jeannie. Not only does she get him back to civilization safely, she also smuggles herself aboard the rescue plane. Jeannie becomes Tony's constant companion. But though she happily grants his every wish, she causes more than her fair share of trouble.

This is one of my favorite sitcom episodes of all-time. It is absolutely charming, well-written, funny, and beautifully acted. Talk about getting a series off to a great start! And the shot of Barbara Eden entering the living room wearing only the button-down shirt is HOT!

Almost PERFECT debut for Jeannie!!!! Almost but not quite, because it seems a bit insidious and manipulative, the way she’s trying to break up Tony’s engagement to his fiancée, even though his fiancée does indeed seem like a bit of a cold, calculating social climber. Thank goodness that original love triangle idea didn’t

I loved this show and used to imagine I lived in the bottle. Then I worked for NASA and I just saw her on Andy Griffith and found rerun. Good clean tv..oh where oh where did it go?

I remember both this show and Bewitched in black and white! I've NEVER seen those seasons since. I guess black and white is boring to some people. 😊
