Joe and Melissa have no storyline unless they’re feuding with Teresa. Like her or not, no one else on the show has anything interesting enough going on in their lives that will keep viewership and ratings. Jen/Bill are the 2nd most interesting couple, but the show would completely flop without Teresa and the drama she brings. Period.
