That is exactly what I’m doing. I’m actually donating my body to a place in my town which intern they give you half back of your ashes. I think it’s a wonderful thing to actually look into because they may find a cure for diabetes. Whatever you know they say they do, but I trust him and then my town it’s very small, so if you live in Elizabethton Tennessee, think about it’s a good thing if I’m on life-support well they get all my organs and thank God they do because they whoever it is I could save a life

Not sure about anywhere else but in UK you can also donate pacemakers to dogs charities also (so they can be used in dogs who need them) They are removed before any burial/cremation anyway so may go to save another life. Just wanted to highlight that as many are aware of organ/tissue donation but not many aware of that.

I have a kadaver tendon in my left ankle. Mine wouldn't hold anymore and I didn't want to go through a 3rd or 4th surgery so I chose to have someone else's tendon put in. Nothing compared to getting major organs others have to have but I'm grateful nonetheless. God bless those who make this loving sacrifice. Thank you for talking about this important subject. Btw, do you know if there's an age cutoff for donation? So they wouldn't want someone's organs who's 75 or 80 would they?

My husband said that when died he wanted to be cremated. As his body was only a shell, that he really wasn't there any more. ❤

You have helped so many of us with the fear of dying. I dont know how to explain it but you bring a peace to death. Even though you are explaining the procedures of an autopsy you take away the fear. I used to be petrified of having an autopsy. Now it doesnt bother me. I think its because you show us the dignity of your profession. Thank you so much for taking away my fear.

❤. Donation rocks ? I signed up for it when I was 18. I didn’t expect to need an organ or tissue in my life. This coming Sunday it will be 11 years since I received a new liver. We get along beautifully. No signs of rejection. I have gotten a few nasty infections due to the anti rejection meds, but thanks to people like you, more people will sign up 💙💚

I think the exact same way. PS I have donated lungs in me right now. I’m beyond thankful to my donor and her family. So far I’ve gotten extra 3.8 wonderful years.❤

❤ my exact thoughts. Donate what I can and ashes to ashes, dust to dust, return to whence you came. I am no longer there. And don't bring me flowers when I am dead. Bring them to me when I am alive so I can enjoy them. Plant them for me when I'm gone, so others may enjoy them in memory of me and bring back happy memories to enjoy life
