Yesterday in my vitamix II made thawed frozen berry jam that was well drained of juice. Used a little stevia for sweetness and it turned out great, nice and thick with no pectin. Used the juice in a smoothy.

Could you use frozen fruit? Should it be thawed first, please.

I read that it can last only 5 days in the fridge. How can I make the jam, so I can make it last in the fridge all winter? Thank you.

Don't the crushed seeds have a negative impact on the taste? I had a bad experience with red currants and gooseberries. But I think the "tea and fish" taste appeared during cooking. I once blended elderberries. Jesus. And how does it become thick jam without heating to react the pectin?

I like crushed strawberries without anything in the freezer. They maintain the color and flavor well. There the seeds are very small. Apples freeze well, but with seeds removed. No need to peel them.

I think the more seeds you add, the close it becomes to porridge.

That is not raspberry jam. Raspberry something yes, but not jam. The chia will add a bit of grit and bulk I suppose. Full of nutrients though.
