⨸ Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ ⨸ - This video looks using the CG50's Normal distribution features, specifically the Normal cumulative distribution to find probabilities. It covers greater than and less than, ranges of values and shows how we can produce a Normal distribution curve using the calculator. Also covered is saving values in List that can then be used in calculations in Run-Matrix mode.

This also works perfectly for the Casio fx-CG 20. Thanks for this helpful video!

massive help, especially as right now all learning is being done at home without teachers due to the corona virus

You don't need to go back to Run/Matrix for the final calculation. When you get back to the List screen in the stats app, put the cursor on 'List 2' (not inside the list, but on the list header) and enter 1-List 1, press execute, you now have the results in list 2.

This example also works perfectly on the Casio fx-9750GIII.

The new Distribution app may be great for visualisation but useless for practical in exam use as it does not have the stats tools the Stats ap has... why not integrate it there in the Stats ap as a menu option when calulating probabilities so that we can see the visualisations if we need to right when calculating probabilties (like z distribution you showed here).

The way they implemented it is as annoying as the Conics app, which is seperated ap for drawing circles etc. so you cannot draw other functions with it like tangents or find intesections of a circle with curves, making it way less useful...

I am a big fan of the CG50 but I just think it is still very behind in many ways and need people who do a lot of Math with it to fine tune it. I would love it if Casio would hear me, but this is just a youtube comment!

Thank you, very helpful! I write my A-levels (Abitur in German) tomorrow and I didn't pay attention to my teacher while she explained how to type in this sh*t HAHAHAHAHA anyways, my 8 points for the tasks with normal distribution are saved since its just typing in into the calculator so thank you for helping me out with this!

really helpful but i think it is easier to to Normal distribution on Distribution option rather then statistics

What calculator would you recommend alongside a good book for someone just learning maths for the hell of it? Doesn’t need to be used in any exams, and no end goal other than trying to visualise and understand some thing better.
I’ve heard Casio is (relatively) user friendly. Is the ClassPad 2 overkill? Would you recommend the fx-CG50 as something well made and nice to use? I’m not worried about spending a bit to have something nice to sit down and play around with.

1:08 what is the difference between the list and variable options?

In the final step you can enter 1-List 1[1] to get just 0.6198….
