So in a 1-4-5 Blues this would sound best over the 1 chord I assume or can you continue over the 4&5 chords?

The hardest part for me is bending into the chord notes. You have to think a step behind the desired note. So I guess you visualize the chord shape and play behind it if you want to do bends. Tricky business!
