These Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Leaks Are Ridiculous

Yesterday images started to appear online showing Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on a person's Switch. This seemed to spiral into concern that the game has leaked already so today we'll take a look at what's going on here.

Ganondorf comes back, takes over hyrule with an Iron fist, hyrule is non traversable because of the enemy take over, link has to go back in time in order to release things so you can retake territory in the future. Or something like that. I just hope there's a massive cave system like skyrim, since it has been acknowledged as a source of inspiration.

you can screenshot the home page, photoshop the image, and then post an unlisted youtube video to your own channel with the image, full screen it, and boom... you have a fake home screen running on a retail switch

Faking icons is incredibly easy even without photoshop. There is essentially a shortcut maker that tricks the switch into thinking the shortcut is eshop game. I use it create shortcuts for retroarch and other homebrew apps. The program lets you choose an icon and title name. Getting it to think it is a physical card is more complicated, but it is obviously doable on cfw.

I have a hacked switch and know that it is possible to change the icon of the games. If it leaks early then I am totally going to play it early

This picture (or something extremely similar) popped up on the ToTK subreddit about a month ago. The person who posted it said it was a fake and used a modified switch to change the picture and name of the game.

Not sure how much of that is true but it did pop up on reddit

The reasons why people are going crazy for TotK info...
1. Why did Nintendo want to create a sequel to BotW? We'll know with its story.
2. It's the sequel to arguably THEE greatest game of all-time which is the most intuitive and has the most impressive gameplay mechanics with its physics engine.
3. It's BotW on steroids with even newer things you can do now.
4. Ganon is back... not his pig form... his real self!
5. Such a big game.
