You don’t have to move the team. Just build them a new Stadium. Tropicana Field is the most depressing place to play in all of Baseball. Nobody wants to play there. The Marlins are the worst run organization in Baseball and even they were able to get a new Stadium. And they were a joke when they got it. The Rays are one all of the best teams in baseball and are going to the World Series. They should be able to get a new stadium. That’s how you get the big name Free Agents, that’s how you sell out games, that’s how you get your games on National Television, and that’s how you go from being a Small Market Team to a Mid/Big Market Team...

The team should be in Tampa. St. Pete is too out of the way to fill up 81 times a year.

to me it sounds like stu has a chip on his shoulder because not enough people are going to games. Instead of being all pissy about it, you need to be nice and make changes to lure fans back in there

Red Sox fan. I have more respect for this team then any other. Unless they face Boston I routed for them. Sad end to 2019. They should have been in WS.

I get what the mayor of st pete's is saying but if the Rays arent gonna succeed in st pete's why not try DT and tampa Bay and montreal should also get a shot at base ball but we will see what happens

With relatives in Tampa/St Pete that is speaking as a Yankees fan no doubt IMO, Tampa and Central Florida as a huge region now of the US, can support a MLB team. Population growth and very good TV ratings show it can work. However St Pete (unless they can build another ballpark closer to downtown St Pete)is a terrible fit since most of the fans needed for the club to do well at the box office are not living in St Pete. IMO the Rays belong in the City of Tampa if they going to stay in town permanently. If not, maybe relocate across the I-4 highway to say in or near Orlando. If Montreal ever gets another MLB team it should be only an full time expansion club IMO and not this "split season" crap.

Tampa Bay biggest mistake was designing a stadium (Tropicana Field) that was not adequate for baseball.

Wake up already. Two adults going to a game is over $100 and this is one of the most boring games to watch. Let them move away and maybe we could get a soccer team.
