It's almost like trying to convince people they need to spend $800-$1, 200 on a new phone every single year was an unsustainable idea.

Save smart phones? They aren't like food you don't need to buy it over and over

Life is quite crappy, an overpriced phone doesnt change that

Durability of phones hasn't gone up. It decreased. What buggs me most is, in general, sales are way more important to company's and our economy than our "single/short use culture".
Design stuff that impacts our planet as minimum as possible. Make stuff durable, reliable and build stuff to last. Our thrive to optimise economy generally ruins our planet's well-being and ups our resource waste.

Foldable phones are just a gimmick like 3D tv.

1:05 Phones are getting more durable? Have I missed sonething or why is my glass sandwich not "more durable" than a nokia 3310?

"Save smartphones"?! Lol save them from what? Like they're suddenly going to stop being useful?

Why does there need to be further growth? It's just shop shop shop with you people

The foldable screen is pointless for nearly everyone.

We live in a time of rapidly maturing markets. The phone went from a game changer to a commodity in a decade. All the growth- the meaningful growth at least, from the rich developed world- has been captured.

I would be happy if they would just get Siri to do a much better job when taking dictation and things like that. It’s such a shame that they have let Siri’s abilities and capabilities lapse over the last several years.

Still working with my Samsung S4... 2013... Solid. A phone by Alienware may get me to think for an upgrade...

The best phone is to help me make money, not the opposite.

After the novelty fades off, it’ll be back to normal. Smartphones have reached its saturation point already.

I bought this 100 dollars motorola a little over 2 years ago. I find little interest in upgrading as I just use it for youtube and call/messege. people who bought these 1000 dollars phone every year r starting to wake up that they dont need a new phone every year or two. sale will continue to decline and bounce a little every now and then(as people still need to replace them every 3-4 years), but u wouldn't be seeing crazy sale like the past. market already saturated

stop adding silly features and nail a battery that lasts a week.

Flawed analysis. Smartphone sales growth is slowing because flagship phones now cost over $1000. At that price point, obviously, people are going to upgrade much less frequently. AND on top of that, if there's nothing but a small spec bump to be had for the cost of an upgrade, why the hell would anyone upgrade?

Drive growth by bringing the price down, not charging us more and more for features we never use.

I hardly use my smartphone these days.

I have no one to call anyway.

And i rarely leave my home.

I just want a normal life and with less technology.

I use my smartphone before sleep for a bit but i dont really need to do that.
