Waste of material, time, and labor, this is not a butt-joint to finish almost 2ft, the amount of mud you used on that joint you could use half on the entire wall. 🤌🤷‍♂️📉💸 12inch knife would have done the work nicely and the other 12inch that you wasted could be used for the following joint.

This is ridiculously big. Houses have had nice walls with nice painted joints since the 60's and 70's, yet todays subcontractors can't t do the job without a 3 ft taping knife now? Use one big enough and you'll just plaster the wall. Smh

As a plasterer for 35yrs a plastered skim coat is faster, even with scaffolding.Superior material, no sanding, sets hard in hours, ready for water based paint or other.
