This, hybrid heaven and GTA 2 all released within in the same time frame of about a month, blue stinger, donkey Kong 64, system shock 2, unreal tournament, silent hill, Tony hawk pro skater, soul reaver, syphon filter, shenmue and many more all released in the same year! 1999 has to easily be the best year for gaming of all time.

Interesting how the bullet impact flashes a different color depending on where you hit the enemy, from what I can tell:
Blue is a limb shot, arms and legs. This does minimal damage.
Green is center mass, body. It does moderate damage.
Red is a head shot. It's an instant kill for many enemies and extreme damage for those it doesn't outright kill.
The player will actually take varying damage depending on where they are shot too and see these flashes. I haven't seen many other games do something like this.

This game was so much fun especially on hard mode. The only part that consistently frustrated me was the laser level on the much rage.

the 4 player multiplayer was GROUNDBREAKING for its time! loved playing this game with my cousins. co op 2 player was SICK! ONE of my favorite games ever!

Used to play this a lot on the N64, even if I had no idea wtf I was doing lol. Looking back, I feel like this game was a bit ahead of it's time with the aiming mechanics, cover system, and graphics.
