As uncanny valley as that deepfake projection of Walt is, you know it’s exactly the kind of slightly creepy character technology he would be using if he had access to it. I mean the guy was building life size extremely realistic robot replicas of a bunch of dead presidents lol. And i’m not criticizing it btw I love the cheese just like Dan says ! haha

I’ve been living in Japan for a while- but I’m originally from Philly! I had no idea TFI had a Disney 100 exhibit until I saw this video!!! I’ll be back in august so I definitely need to check it out before it moves.

You're spewin' out gold before you even get to the Disney stuff! As for said Disney stuff, I AM SO JEALOUS! I so hope it tours around my neck of the woods, cuz I wanna see it! It was so great to see Dan so starstruck by the exhibits. I would have been too ... wow! It was like when I got to tour the Freedom Train in 1976 and I was also starstruck when I saw the Degas exhibit when it was at my local art museum. The chance to see such things with your own eyes is staggering. I'm hoping to tour the Disney Family Museum in San Francisco sometime.

Also: we were there on a Saturday and the queue was true Disney fashion. I think we waited longer to get in than we did for anything at the parks in January, lol.

I just went on Thursday me and my boyfriend LOVED it! Of course the Walt hologram had me crying and seeing his revisions for the Disneyland plaque really had me emotional lol

Wish the "holographic" Walt Disney used a Pepper's Ghost effect. Maybe that way, it would look less like a projection & more like a hologram.
It also looks like they're using AI voice deep-learning to make his voice sound like Walt, not just the deep-fake technology. That's what's adding to the Uncanny Valley effect it's giving off.

I went to go see this last Thursday… I almost cried seeing Walt. While rough around the edges … I was amazed. This whole thing was EVERYTHING. Me and my buddy SMC… we were just struck with awe
