Even though they lost, the kill to loss ratio strongly favored the Germans. I'd guess that the Brits did better than the Russians when one considers the fact that Russia lost more soldiers than every other nation combined.

Remember Germany had some serious wonder weapons like the fighter jet.

And my list goes like this

1.) Germany
2.) USA
3.) Soviets
4.) Japan

The Germans had the best equipment, they were just outnumbered and out gunned

The Americans could make an entire fleet of ships in a month

The Soviets had so many troops that they could just throw a million men at a city

The Japanese were fierce as hell

And the British had an entire empire to its name

No hate or anything for Britain those weren't actually british soldiers because the brits still had the circle type helmet in WW2 (Paratroopers didn't have those helmets) unless they are paratroopers

Technically you could say america did better than the Soviets due to their technology equipment resources etc
However the Soviets wouldn't survive If it wasnt for america sending resources same for Britain
