I remember my instructor panicking once in a scenario like this because he thought I hadn't seen a car like this, since I didn't react to it and he thought it could have cut in front of me. But I had seen it, I just knew it would stop based on how it was moving. You can tell when they're going to risk it.

As an American driver it's very common in my city to have someone pull right out in front of me without looking on a day-to-day drive. At the very least you get used to having your foot over the brake ready to go.

I observed this common thing in the Uk, the speed at which drivers approach junctions is scary. Basically they are aware that they gonna stop to give way to the upcoming traffic, but then speed then🤔🤔🤔

Definitely right thing to do great reaction time from him and the instructor was wrong because if he didn't brake he scratched the car so yea

gotta think about the conditions on where he was driving before, maybe some explaination would be more helpful and explain that to avoid accidents, absolutely brake like that if needed. when i was in india the driving was terrifying to me, nobody stopped like that car did lol
