I'm from Wilmington, Delaware, although I live outside the States now. Dr. Jill Biden was a 10th grade English teacher at Brandywine High School when I attended that institution in the early 90s, although I was never actually in her class. My parents have been Biden supporters for decades, and my first exposure to politics was at one of his fundraising seminars for his Delaware Senate campaign in '92 or so. They knew his story, long before the rest of the country did, and he earned their respect, as well as mine.

I hope history sees what he's done, in the past and today, and remembers him for rising up when it was called for, pulling off one of the finest single terms in modern history, and then sacrificing his shot at a second term for the genuine good of the country.

You're making a grown man cry, Joe. We love you.
